  1. Boy, you make me glad I packed in the two Hickman Avengers books. Fun post!

  2. ...You probably don't understand why Jaws was a popular movie. A real artist can use repetition to enhance a story, or even a blog post. A bad artist uses repetition to make their blog post 10x more annoying than the story he complains about.

    1. What are you talking about? I love Jaws and understand why it is popular.

    2. ...I'm talking about repetition and foreboding. If you're not talking about that too, what on earth are YOU talking about?

    3. I'm confused about the fact that you brought up Jaws when you were mentioning repetition. I don't remember repetition being used in that movie.

Also, I do understand how repetition (and foreboding now that you brought it up) can be used well. I was just reading something called Umineko recently there was a great scene in the first chapter where a character repeated a word over and over, like she was possessed or something; signalling the great and horrific disaster that would be soon coming there way. It was really good.

Constantly saying the phrase White Event or Machine is Broken over and over again becomes very tedious and not foreboding anymore. Also, it felt very pointless and just doesn't add to the story, especially when the last issue already brought up this White Event before.
