Saga #18 (2014)

Cover:

I think you got a little wine on your muzzle.  Let me get a napkin so I can wipe it off.

Plot:

Things continue to go to crap on Quietus as characters finally cross paths.

Writing:

Wait, you love him?!  Since when!?  Where the hell did this come from?

Our Heroes:

Actually, he knew you would survive because he read the script earlier.

Our Villain:

Umm… is he going to be okay?  We may to shoot him again to reboot his system so he is fixed.

Our Side Characters:

So… yeah.  The Will’s in a coma now.  Oh well, it’s not I cared about him anyways.

Action:

Unless you count that shove, none to really speak of.

Dialogue:

Well, he did sort of draw on her, so it’s not completely black and white here.

Art:

…it’s art.

Most Memorable Moment:

And you shoved her off to her death and it’s only because of luck and convenience that she survived.  You are a great husband and father sir.

Final Page:

D’aww.

What We Should Take from This Comic:

Every group has gone their separate ways, all changed by this experience.  Who knows what future lies ahead for them.

What We Do Take From This Comic:

If your wife has wings but has never successfully flew before, shove her off a ledge with your baby anyways.  Perhaps luck will be on your side.

Yay or Nay?

meh

Satellite Sam #8 (2014)

Cover:

Look comic, I already saw what her ass looks like on the cover of #5.  I haven’t forgotten you know.

Plot:

Christmas is coming up rather soon and office politics only continue to heat up more with a big dinner coming up.

Our Main Character:

Thank you for being less of an asshole sir.

Our Side Characters:

Okay, I’ll be honest, I did not see that coming.

Writing:

Oh god, we finally address that whole thing about that guy possibly being a murder that you dropped several issues ago.

Dialogue:

My, Jeanie certainly has a mouth on her.

Art:

You know at times, it’s really damn hard to tell most of you guys and girls apart.

Most Memorable Moment:

No really, I did not remotely see that coming.

Final Page:

“Kill for”?  Oh I get it!  Because he was killed, right?

What We Should Take from This Comic:

Looks like we are back on figuring out who killed Carlyle White and with this issue, we may some extra reasons for why someone wanted him did.

What We Do Take From This Comic:

A murder mystery story is much better with an actual mystery and twists in it shockingly enough.

Yay or Nay?

yay

Saga #17 (2013)

Cover:

Gah!  Get off of me you creepy TV headed individual!

Plot:

Prince Robot IV is right below everyone and is holding Mr. Heist hostage at the time.  What will our heroes do?

Writing:

I think the writer is trying to say something about modern entertainment from how much he’s trying to beat it into us in one scene.

Our Heroes:

…mercy killing?  Seriously sir?  Your mind went to that first?

Our Villain:

OH NO!  I hope he’ll be alright!

Our Side Characters:

oh no… he died… I feel so sad.

Action:

BOOM!  Headshot!

Dialogue:

Ah… Prince Robot IV?  Why are you all of sudden randomly answering his questions?  Shouldn’t it be the other way around?

Art:

And random orgy scene to maintain that this is a “mature” comic.

Most Memorable Moment:

See what I said about the villain’s section.

Final Page:

Huh, that went to hell quickly, didn’t it?

What We Should Take from This Comic:

War is very strange and has many different interpretations of it apparently.

What We Do Take From This Comic:

The opposite of war is sex…

Yay or Nay?

Meh?
