Justice League of America #1 (2013)

Justice League of America #1

Cover:

There are over 50 variant covers of this one with different flags on it!  Collect them all!

Plot:

With the growing threat of metahumans and trust low for the Justice League, Amanda Waller and Steve Trevor decide it’s time to form their own team for the U.S. Government.  Who made the cut anyways?

Our Heroes:

Our group includes: a brutal space cop, a Martian, a former assassin, a thief, a super star, a vibrating teenager, a falsely accused terrorist, and (former) rich playboy with a heart of gold.  You know this will all work out just perfectly.

Our Villains:

Not officially revealed yet, but it’s probably the secret society mentioned at the end.

Our Side Characters:

Amanda Waller’s hair keeps changing from comic to comic from what I’ve seen.

Action:

Whip it!  Whip it good (couldn’t resist.  I apologize)!

Dialogue:

I’m with Catwoman, I’m not sure what the hell he is talking about.

Art:

This artist loves his inks, doesn’t he?

Most Memorable Moment:

Whoa!  Man, he sure knows how to surprise people.

Final Page:

He won’t die.  He has his own comic book.  He can die over there.

What We Should Take from This Comic:

It’s time for a new Justice League to be formed, with Steve Trevor as the leader, ready to fight superhumans and possibly the real JL in case things get out of control.  Also, a secret society has appeared, but what could that possibly be about?

What We Do Take From This Comic:

This team is going to crack and crumble after only one mission, isn’t it?

Yay or Nay?

Yay
