And down goes the helicopter.

Thud?  Did he just fall over or did someone hit him?

The paparazzi know little of this called tact.

Plot:

If Bruce Wayne thought his life was hard, here comes Buddy Baker!  After the death of Cliff at the end of Rotworld, Buddy’s entire life has crumble to pieces all around him.

Our Hero:

He and Bruce should form a support group.

Our Villains:

Eh, why not call the Red the villains at this point.  They certainly acted like this.

Action:

There we go!  That’s how you deal with the paparazzi!

Dialogue:

Buddy, you really need to work on how to talk to people at funerals.

Art:

It looks icky entering and leaving the Red.

Most Memorable Moment:

Whoa!  His breath has got to stink.

Final Page:

Hey wait a minute!  He didn’t enter the place wearing his costume

What We Should Take from This Comic:

With everyone having cast him out of their lives, what is Buddy suppose to do now?

What We Do Take From This Comic:

Being a superhero with a son right now just flat out sucks.

Constantine #1 (2013)

Cover:

He has the power of pentagrams!

Plot:

A buddy of Constantine has a problem and he seeks him for help.  Trouble can only ensue.

Our Hero:

Hero is questionable regarding him.

Our Villain:

So she must use magic to keep that outfit on.

Our Side Characters:

So long kid, you’ll join the rest of Constantine’s friends in the place they always end up.

Action:

None, unless you count that taxi and ice hotel being destroyed.

Dialogue:

Magic sounds like it sucks.

Art:

Eh… it’s art.

Most Memorable Moment:

Ow, that’s a lot of splatter.

Final Page:

And now what?  Where to go?

What We Should Take from This Comic:

Constantine has the first part of this magic compass, but with having it, it makes him a target.  He better hope he can obtain the rest of the pieces before he dies next.

What We Do Take From This Comic:

Outside of Zatanna, Constantine’s buddies’ life expectancy must be rather low.

Green Arrow #18 (2013)

Cover:

I can’t tell; is he going to stab him with his broken bow now?

Plot:

Komodo is destroyed almost everything Oliver Queen has and now he wants to put him down for good.  Oliver has 48 hours to figure out a plan to deal with all of this chaos before the Justice League of America rolls in to town.  Another crazy day in the city.

Our Hero:

Bah, you’ll be fine.  I’ve seen you do pretty well with less arrows in the past.

Our Villain:

0___0  Your daughter creeps me out.

Our Side Characters:

Boom headshot.

Action:

This guy has some incredible aiming skills to hit that rope in the dark.

Dialogue:

Well if she said please.  Then it’s perfectly fine to let your daughter watch you kill someone.

Art:

Quick!  Use zoom in boxes with red coloring!

Most Memorable Moment:

Do we really need two helicopters for this?

Final Page:

That’s a weird face to have while you are falling.

What We Should Take from This Comic:

All of this insanity and world changing events for Oliver all seems to have to deal with the Island he was trapped on long ago.  However, what does his dad have to do with all of this and what is Komodo’s true goal in all of this?

What We Do Take From This Comic:

Komodo keep your mask on!  You look cool with it on.

Action:

Ah… they were dissolved into goo.

Dialogue:

Who wouldn’t want a costume with your kind of powers?

Art:

Hooray for one artist this time!

Most Memorable Moment:

Taproot?  Ascension Chamber? … are we perhaps hinting at something with Black Orchid?

I’m not sure what to say.

What We Should Take from This Comic:

Buddy managed to save Maxine from infection by the Rot and she managed to uncover something rather surprising about the Hunters 3.  However, with all of this success, tragedy still struck.
