Katana #1
Cover:
I’m not sure if that is a katana or not.
Plot:
Katana comes to America to seek revenge and way to kill Coil, the man that destroyed her life. At least, that’s what I think is happening in the comic. I’m not sure what’s going on to be honest.
Our Hero:
Jewelry has never been this dangerous before.
Our Villain:
Kitchen? Who says that outside of people on the Internet!
Our Side Characters:
Do souls in swords that don’t talk count?
Action:
Slashy slashy!
Dialogue:
*Reviewer bursts into laughter* You serious with this dialogue?
Art:
These people, they scare me.
Most Memorable Moment:
Nothing ruins sex like the guy on top suddenly starting to bleed from the face.
Final Page:
Oh hey look, a Rorschach Test on that blade.
What We Should Take from This Comic:
Katana is fighting ninjas for some reason.
What We Do Take From This Comic:
So what’s going on?
Yay or Nay?
Meh.
Author Note: This is so bad that's actually good. I would actually recommend this comic for that alone, but it's still not that good.
There was enough here to bring me back for more. Somehow, Nocenti interested me in Katana. And on its own terms, I found this less silly than the overhyped Batman.
