Satellite Sam #8 (2014)

Cover:

Look comic, I already saw what her ass looks like on the cover of #5.  I haven’t forgotten you know.

Plot:

Christmas is coming up rather soon and office politics only continue to heat up more with a big dinner coming up.

Our Main Character:

Thank you for being less of an asshole sir.

Our Side Characters:

Okay, I’ll be honest, I did not see that coming.

Writing:

Oh god, we finally address that whole thing about that guy possibly being a murder that you dropped several issues ago.

Dialogue:

My, Jeanie certainly has a mouth on her.

Art:

You know at times, it’s really damn hard to tell most of you guys and girls apart.

Most Memorable Moment:

No really, I did not remotely see that coming.

Final Page:

“Kill for”?  Oh I get it!  Because he was killed, right?

What We Should Take from This Comic:

Looks like we are back on figuring out who killed Carlyle White and with this issue, we may some extra reasons for why someone wanted him did.

What We Do Take From This Comic:

A murder mystery story is much better with an actual mystery and twists in it shockingly enough.

Yay or Nay?

yay

Satellite Sam #7 (2014)

Cover:

Holy crap!  The people on the cover actually have faces!

Plot:

Same as before; characters are self-destructing, everyone’s got secrets they’re trying to keep, and all of that jazz.

Our Main Character:

I'm watching my sympathy for this character who did a 180 slowly drift away.

Our Side Characters:

“Definitely an asshole.  But a fun one.”  You’re half right.

Writing:

Hey murder mystery!  Anytime now you would like to show up, it would be very appreciated.

Dialogue:

Man does this dialogue drag and drag.

Art:

Copy and paste those people!  No one will notice!

Most Memorable Moment:

Seriously, just because you get alcohol as a gift, does not mean you have to automatically drink it on the job!

Final Page:

“Kill for”?  Oh I get it!  Because he was killed, right?

What We Should Take from This Comic:

There are many ways for a person to self-destruct and fall apart.  We are seeing Michael do that as read, if slowly.

What We Do Take From This Comic:

Alcohol and TV crew don’t mix.

Yay or Nay?

Nay

Satellite Sam #6 (2014)

Cover:

I don’t want to know what they are planning on doing with that toy rocket ship.

Plot:

Yeah, life at Le Monde Studios and on the Satellite Sam serial continue to go further down the drain.  People are getting arrested, egos are getting the best of everyone, rewriting is going on like mad, and so much more.

Our Main Character:

Man, you went from sympathetic and sad to annoying and irritating all in the span of a single issue.  Good job!

Our Side Characters:

Can we shift focus on Libby Meyers, the only likeable person in this story?

Writing:

Nothing like a random flashback to barely into your scene!

Dialogue:

The more people talk, the more grating they become.

Art:

Hamilton had really derpy looking face at that bar scene, didn’t he?

Most Memorable Moment:

Working with these people, who wouldn’t want to drink?

Final Page:

“I got the results of the test back.  I definitely have lung cancer.”

What We Should Take from This Comic:

Satellite Sam is slowly crumbling down around the cast and crew as the egos, personalities, and behavior of its members start wrecking the show from the inside out more than ever before.

What We Do Take From This Comic:

Anyone seen a murder mystery around here?  I think its wander off.

Yay or Nay?

Meh?
